The Process of Tree Planting… 🌱
The life cycle of a tree is fascinating and requires a lot of work! We receive our saplings at around 3-4 years old (yes, that’s how old these little ones are!) and bury them in a shallow trench to rest between pickup and planting, about a day or two. We transfer the trees into buckets of water as we plant them about six feet apart from each other. We have found the best way to plant is by hand, and make sure the ground is “stomped” around the sapling to pack the soil, ensure all roots are buried, and keep the tree straight. This season we planted 3,000 trees! 🌱🌲🎄
