We decided to taste test your suggestions for amount of time that you boiling corn.

We boil ours between 2 to 5 minutes. Tasty, fresh, pops in your mouth and contains the nutrients it should.

We tried 10 minutes. Still tastes ok, but removes some of the flavour, a tad less tender.

We skipped right to tasting at 25 minutes. We love you all but what the heck are you doing to your corn? We won’t unfriend you but for the love of god (or whom ever you choose to love) please try boiling it for less time. The chewy, stick to your teeth consistency wasn’t our favourite. Corn can be eaten raw and you should try it, the sweetness is unbelievable. It only needs a gentle boil. You won’t regret it. We promise.

We must give some honourable mentions as well!
Steaming is a great option.
Microwaving is also great, leave a few husks on and cut off both ends, pop it in for 2 minutes per cob. Use oven mitts to remove it, give a shake and it slides out of the husk and takes the corn silk with it! No need to wrap it in plastic wrap or wax paper, it has its own built in wrap.
