First snowfall of the year came a couple of weeks ago at the farm. Isn’t it beautiful. The outdoor furnance is working hard during the cold days keeping our house warm. We’ve been here for 4 1/2 years now and every morning we are grateful for the silence and beauty. ❄️🏡

A simple photo, but so much can be found in it. The sun brings warmth in the cold, the beauty in nature, calmness, and peace. Ruach meaning … breath of life, adjective used for the Holy Spirit. We believe this breath of life is at the centre of everything we do. Peace resides in this place because we invite Him.

Today we are thankful for family and friends who took the time to help with the wood. Over the last month, there has been lots of cutting the big logs to be ready for today. We had 3 tractors running, people filling the buckets, drivers, and people stacking. By mid day the big pile of split wood was gone and stacked by the furnace!!

“Welcome to the Farm” A couple of weeks ago we welcomed the Maxwell Family for their Thanksgiving Meal. A total of 24 people. It was a noisy table and full of life! We are always thankful as we aim to create a space where people leave full. Full of joy and The wonderful food we harvest. A space where people leave better than they came.

Mark has spent some time recently restoring this old tractor! Mark unashamedly thinks that ‘nothing runs like a Deere’, but more importantly he likes to make old things new. This old machine will soon be a functioning member of the growing Deere collection and that makes Mark a very happy farmer.

The farm not only provides a home for us and farm animals. It provides a place for our fur-family to run, investigate and relax. #1 Cash and Goose; #2 Storm; #3 & 4 a rose bush to remember our little Rose; #5 the new addition … Ernie and #6 Mom & Dad’s bed is the best place to rest from a busy day 🏡🐖🐓🐾.

After a long day, we were up late to capture the Northern Lights.

When we look out the kitchen window we see an open space. No more chicken tractors or an electric fence! The turkeys are now done and we put things away until next year.

We are seeing fruit from our trees this year! Planted them a couple years ago and excited they are producing fruit.
