Nate checking on cows as they head into pasture.

It’s a great day when cows are let into pasture for the first time.

Just a farmer, on a Sunday, in his tractor working up some fields hoping that the crops that will be planted will bring big yields. Always an optimistic!

Molly appears to be shirking her herding duties, instead running away from the calf. As a rough-coated Collie, she is supposed to possess herding abilities, but Molly tends to focus on herding people and appears more interested in leisure activities than working with livestock, possibly due to a lack of proper training. lol

A decade has passed since our farm's recognition as a century farm. In reality, our farm had been family-owned for 128 years, bringing the total to 138 years. My father, Ted, took great pride in this achievement.

Just an evening in the cow pasture! The babies are growing and gaining. We are hoping for a few more.

On Sunday we had another heifer born. The boys are by far out numbering the girls but in the end we only keep a few replacement heifers. Hoping for a few more before calving season is over.

7 had her baby! It’s a boy. It’s relieving to see a heifer who calved easily and is being motherly.
