Nothing humbles you quite like being aggressively mugged by poultry you financially support. 🐔

I pay for the house.
I buy the groceries.
I provide the snacks.

And yet the second the treat bucket appears, I’m surrounded by 50 tiny freeloaders acting like they haven’t eaten since the Great Depression.

I spread the treats around so everyone gets some.

They immediately abandon theirs to steal someone else’s.

Because apparently food tastes better when it’s stolen. 😂

Tuesday Treats at Lucky Clucks: come for the snacks, stay for the felony-level behaviour.

Tell me your flock does this too. 👇😂

Just two mini lops out here living their best lives, mowing the lawn one blade at a time. 🌱🐰

Meanwhile there’s a chicken in the background acting like she’s the neighbourhood watch… making sure nobody has *too* much fun. 👀🐔

Farm life is basically everyone minding everyone else’s business. 😂

Wouldn’t trade it for anything. ❤️

🚨 **FLOCK FILES FRIDAY** 🚨

**Case File:** Dot

**Age:** 3 years

**Breed:** ??? *(We’re still taking applications for what exactly she is.* 😂*)*

**Origin:** Raised from a day-old chick from Hoover’s Hatchery

**Known For:**

- Being everyone’s favourite coworker.
- Clocking out on time.
- Professional bug hunting.
- Avoiding the drama.

Every flock has that one chicken who somehow stays out of the chaos.

Meet Dot.

While everyone else is busy arguing over treats or creating unnecessary flock drama, Dot is off doing important things… like hunting bugs and minding her own business.

She loves her people, loves her flock, and somehow manages to be the quiet peacemaker in a group we lovingly refer to as the Crackhead Flock.

At bedtime, there’s no debate. Dot and her bestie Scarlett are usually the first two tucked in for the night like a couple of little old ladies who have no interest in staying out past sunset.

No bullying.

No attitude.

No need to be the centre of attention.

Just good friends, a full crop of bugs, and an early bedtime.

Honestly… every flock needs a Dot. ❤️🐔

Do you have one that’s just quietly awesome while everyone else is causing absolute chaos?

Free housing, unlimited food, daily treats…and somehow I’m the one working for them. 🐔💸

Another questionable business decision brought to you by Lucky Clucks Farm.

08/26/2026

The way 50 chickens can hear a handful of treats from three postal codes away needs to be studied. 😂

One second they’re minding their own business… the next it’s a full-on sprint like I haven’t fed them in weeks.

Every hen for herself.
No rules.
No personal space.
Just snacks.

Would you survive the treat rush? 🐔

The OG Crackheads called an emergency meeting this morning.

Agenda:
🐔 Who stole the best nesting box.
🐔 Why breakfast was 37 seconds late.
🐔 Formal complaint about the treat budget.
🐔 Judging everyone who walked by.

No decisions were made.
Lots of yelling.
Meeting adjourned because someone spotted a bug.

Honestly… pretty productive by chicken standards. 😂

Does your flock have one hen who absolutely has to be in everyone’s business?

🚨 FLOCK FILES FRIDAY 🚨

Case File: Mohawk
Age: 4 years
Breed: Silkie
Origin: Raised from a week-old chick

Known Offences:
• Talking… constantly.
• Chronic broodiness.
• Refusing to sleep like a normal chicken.
• Possessing a permanent teenage attitude.

Meet Mohawk, one of the original Fluffy Butt Hut girls and Steel’s equally opinionated sister.

Unlike some of the flock, Mohawk is all about the humans. If you’re outside, she’s probably already on her way over to tell you absolutely everything that’s happened since breakfast.

And trust me… she has thoughts.

She’s tiny, fluffy, and somehow completely convinced she’s in charge.

When bedtime rolls around and everyone else hops up onto the roosts, Mohawk takes one look and says, “Nah.”

Instead, she’ll find a cozy little floor pile, fluff herself up, and call it a night. Why use the expensive roosting bars when the floor clearly exists?

She’s also permanently broody. No eggs? Doesn’t matter. Wrong nest? Doesn’t matter. Imaginary babies? She’s got them covered.

Would we change her? Not a chance.

Every flock needs that one tiny hen with a big mouth, bigger opinions, and absolutely no interest in following the rules. Around here… that’s Mohawk. 🤍🐔

Does your flock have one that talks back every chance they get? 😂

This is what peak relaxation looks like in the chicken world. No fancy spa. No cucumber slices. Just a good ash bath and zero responsibilities. 🐔✨
