Wow it is a big week for tomatoes! We will have lots of big tomatoes and sweet cherry tomatoes at the Sooke Country Market this Saturday. The days are getting shorter and soon they will be gone, so get them while you can.

It's race weekend! I won't be at the market this Saturday but my amazing family will be there to run our stand while I do a triathlon in Vancouver. We will have lots of amazing tomatoes at the market, perfect for tomato sandwiches. It is a short season so enjoy them while you can! 🍅🍅🍅

One of the best parts about being a farmer is that you can run through the sprinklers whenever you like. With this hot weather everything is growing fast and we will have so many veggies at the Sooke Country Market this Saturday. It's a great time to eat fresh produce.

YAY ! 🍅🍅 It is tomato season! Those small tomato seeds I started almost 6 months ago are finally producing yummy tomatoes. It is was a long wait but nothing tastes as good as a fresh tomato sandwich! We will have lots of big colourful tomatoes at the Sooke Country Market this Saturday. We will be there rain or shine!

We are a market family! For the last 15 years our family has been going to the market together. The kids have grown up at the market and although market days are busy it is one of my favourite times as a family. This season we are all in - Jazzy helping with the kids tent, Kaidyn selling his cookies, Matt keeping the parking in order and me selling at our stand and managing the market. It has been an amazing journey being a part of the Sooke Country Market . Hope to see you all this Saturday!

Rainy days are not the funnest on the farm but when you have someone to farm with, it always makes things easier. Thanks Kaidyn for keeping it fun!

I have just fallen in love with these amazing creatures. Every morning on my farm walk, I stop with my cup of tea and marvel at the activity in my bee yard. I have learnt so much in the past few months, it has not always been easy, swarming season has been stressful, but these hard working bees have revitalized my passion for farming and I can't wait to learn more from my bees. We won't have honey at the market but we will have carrots, cucumbers, onions, salad, beets, snap peas. June bearing strawberries are done for the season - I hope you all enjoyed them while they were here.

Sometimes it is good to be both a farmer and a beekeeper especially when you come across a wasp nest in your field, Planting potatoes in a bee suit was a bit hot but it got the job done without being stung. We will not have potatoes at the Sooke Country Market but we will have carrots, salad, strawberries, cucumbers, broccoli, zucchini, beets and more. Hope to see you there.
