HighCroft Farm is an off grid family farm, which uses a combination of innovative and traditional farming methods considered sustainable and beneficial to people, animals and the environment over the long term. Our goal is to support a vibrant and sustainable "food healthy" community in the Shuswap. All our livestock happily ranges on green pastures and wild forage, only being fed certified organi
c feed if grains are part of their diet. The animals and chickens are free to run around outside in sun or shade, drink pure spring water, eat fresh grass and bugs. Our animals are fed their original diet, which is most in harmony with their digestive systems, and naturally produces healthier animals with leaner, high quality meats. Meat and eggs from grass-fed animals supplies our bodies with natural sources of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, CLA and Beta-Carotene. Our meat products are free from the following contaminants and non-humane handling:
- No GMO
- No animal by-products
- No Antibiotics in Feed or for Fast Weight Gain
- No Steroids and Hormones - Growth and/or Estrogen
- No pesticides, herbicides, Roundup, or artificial fertilizers
- No chemical washes, or bleach baths at the abattoir
- No cages or small enclosures
- No over feeding of grains to fatten quickly
Livestock and poultry are processed at small, family run, provincially inspected abattoirs close by which have state of the art equipment supporting less stress/humane handling. We offer Chicken, Eggs, Pork, Beef, Lamb and Chevon.
