Made in secret and passed quietly between hands, Shine has long been a part of Island life.

We were the first distillery in Canada to make it legal, bringing it into the open while staying true to its roots.

Our XO Brandy is crafted from grapes grown and hand-harvested in our small coastal vineyard. It is fermented, distilled, and then aged on-site in Canadian oak barrels for ten years. Shine was once made in secret on Prince Edward Island from agricultural molasses and icing sugar, passed quietly between hands and hidden from view. It was a spirit of tradition, ingenuity, and defiance.

We became the first distillery in Canada to make Shine production legal, bringing this once-illegal Island spirit into the present.

Today, we craft it in small batches using top-quality molasses, cane sugar, and our own time-honoured recipe. The result is a bold spirit, with notes of heat, molasses, caramel, pepper, and subtle oils. It is a spirit shaped by tradition and made with care.
