We’ve got some goats available! 🎉

1. Two (soon-to-be) wethers, born March 29th. One is chocolate with a moonspot, and the other is gold. These boys are adorable, with great personalities and social skills - cuddly but also independent when needed. Their mom, Jane, is one of the easiest goats I have. Someone will be very lucky to get these two!

2. Phoebe is also tentatively for sale to a non-breeding home only. Born in early 2023, she would be a great addition to any herd. She’s in the middle of the pecking order, insanely easy to handle, has great feet, and is very cuddly - basically, she’s got it all. I’m very sad not to be able to breed her, but this is ultimately what’s best for her long-term health. I also have limited space, and my “pet” spots are already full-otherwise, I wouldn’t sell her so a good home is a must. I’m also willing to hold her with a deposit for anyone wanting one of our upcoming kids as a companion if you don’t already have other goats.

All goats are familiar with a livestock guardian dog although Phoebe would prefer somewhere without.

The way that Porter and Louie come running is too precious not to share! 🥹

Seeing how much more they’ve bonded over the last 6 months has been amazing to watch. Also - check out that crazy blackberry and grass growth in the back pasture. Yum!

We had some new additions arrive last night 💚

3 bucklings born to Wildmountain CCT Jane Doe, sired by Mossy Rock NK Louie

Jane was an absolute champ and is the best mom! All three boys will be available for sale as well - message us if you’re interested!

An intro to our second doe due this year 🎉
Wildmountain BE Beatrix Potter is due on May 24th, which means we’ve got just over 100 days to go!

All of this year’s does are bred to Mossy Rock NK Louie, and I can’t wait to see this pairing especially. I’m expecting some long kids 👀Bea scored VG88 as a 2-year-old second freshener in 2023 and also has a showing history which I’m hopeful to add on to this year as well.

While she’s definitely on the shy side when people approach her, she’s one of the new herd bosses and is ✨best✨ friends with Piper - which has thankfully calmed both of them down quite a bit!

Everyone seemed to love this week’s cold snap (everyone except me, of course! 😅)

The break in the rain gave us the chance to knock out a bunch of smaller projects - a couple of fence repairs, new fence posts going in to prep for an extra gate (very excited about that one!), and more upgrades to the shelter for the boys, including another wind block wall and a special insulated water box that worked like a charm 👌

The work never stops! Now that the rain is back, I’m back inside cooking up a few new things that will be revealed soon! 👀🧼

The prettiest little baby I ever did see 🥹

Our retained doeling from Country Oak Raven and Mossy Rock NK Louie is growing up incredibly fast! Crazy to think in a little over a year she’ll most likely be milking!

One of these days I’ll have to (finally) decide on a ‘barn’ and registered name. She was born late September so it’s been a minute already 🫣

Today was cut day for these fresh batches 🧼✨
From left to right: Peppermint Bark, Peachy Keen, English Rose, and Citron Spritz

Now they head off to the ‘curing’ stage for 4–6 week. This curing time allows moisture to evaporate, creating a harder, longer-lasting bar.

Is it baby season yet?! 🥹

I can’t wait to see what the girls cook up this year! Right now, Wildmountain CCT Jane Doe is kicking things off with a due date of March 25th. ✅ She’s getting thicker and looking great!

Country Oak Raven and Wildmountain BE Beatrix Potter have both been bred, and we’re waiting to see if they settle 🤞

Our last potential group will be Wildmountain Katniss Everdeen and Shelby. Ideally, I’d like Katniss to put on a bit more size before breeding. Shelby catches easily and has had two sets of twins, which makes her a great pairing in case we skip breeding Katniss this year - or if Katniss has a single - so all the kids will have others around the same age to grow up with and hang out with! 💚
