Well we survived another calving season - the busiest ever with 65 calves born!
Now we are full swing into planting season. Many acres of oats are in; a new to us crop this year - Triticale; and soon our sorghum will go in. We’ve decided not to grow corn for feed this year, with the high fuel and fertilizer costs.
And let’s complain about the weather (farmers do that alot)! We really need some rain to water the seeds so the crops get a good start.
You know the saying …. Farming isn’t for the faint of heart! Enough work here for three, not enough pay for one. We’re thankful for all the hours of help the boys put in 👨🌾🌾🍃❤️
