UPDATE (March 22, 11:20 a.m.): One person is in police custody following a reported disturbance at a property on Rankin Bridge Road in Sauble Falls involving a potentially armed individual in the evening of Saturday March 21, 2026.

A shelter‑in‑place advisory was issued for the immediate area while officers conducted a thorough response and initial investigation. Police later determined the situation had stabilized with no immediate threat to public safety, and lifted the shelter‑in‑place advisory.

Officers would like to thank members of the public for their patience and cooperation. ^pia

UPDATE (11:40 p.m.): The shelter-in-place advisory in the area of Rankin Bridge Road in the Sauble Falls area has been lifted and members of the public may resume their regular activity. There is no immediate threat to public safety at this time. A police presence may remain in the area as officers continue their on-scene investigation.
