Carter: "Snacks for our 4-day trip."

Apparently, we have very different definitions of how much jerky a family of four needs for four days. 😂

Look, when you've got hungry kids, long drives, random snack attacks, and parents trying not to survive on theme park food... you don't take chances.

Besides, running out of jerky on Day 2 is a risk I'm simply not willing to take.

Anyone else pack enough snacks for a small army whenever they leave the house?

Kids don't do what we say.
They do what they see.

If we want them to believe they're capable, resilient, and strong, we need to show them what that looks like. Not just once in a while, but every day.

Working out with our kids isn't about creating athletes.

It's about teaching them that movement is normal. Taking care of your body is normal. Eating real food is normal.

And maybe most importantly...

Teaching them to say:
"I can do this!"

Because that mindset will take them much further than any workout ever will.

Four days. 20,000–25,000 steps a day. Two days at Canada's Wonderland. Countless rides. Plenty of laughs. More than a few sore legs. Maybe some minor heart attacks on those rides! (The Aspen Fury, JEEZ)

One thing we were glad we packed? Jerky!

When you're spending all day at Canada's Wonderland and Splash Works, you're surrounded by quick food options that leave you hungry an hour later. Having clean, high-protein snacks on hand meant we could keep going from opening to closing without the constant energy crashes.

It's amazing how much better you feel when you fuel your body properly, especially when you're putting in the equivalent of a half marathon every day.

We're heading home with a camera roll full of memories, tired feet, and a whole lot of gratitude.

Thanks for an incredible trip, Southern Ontario. We'll be back.

We've been grinding for four years. Grinding to build this business. Grinding to expand production, expand retail presence, just GRINDING! Non stop.

And we've done what we can as a family in that time. Mostly camping, day trips, staying on the prairies.

But it's time to take our two big kids on a trip of their own.

So we're in Toronto Thursday till next Tuesday.

Hitting Canada's Wonderland, Downtown, Splash Works, Medieval Times, etc.

Emails will be checked, that's about it.

The after-school/after nap snack attack is real 😅

When the kids come in starving, we need something fast… but not a pile of ultra-processed junk that leaves them hungry again 20 minutes later.
