I am so thankful for the people in my life. Today, I would like to take the time to especially thank the Chicken Crew. Chicken processing is hard, dirty, tedious and detail oriented work.
We have come a long way from a saw horse table under the elm tree, but its still hard, dirty, tedious work.
Some of our crew has been with us for 10 or more years, some are brand new; but know this; each of you is loved and considered one of our blessings.
Thank you! Curtis Schneikart , Crystal Schneikart , Sherri Ariss , Tina Geisbrecht, Tara Barsi , Suzanne Blair , Susan Leonard , Mike Leonard, Sue Hipfner , Craig Hipfner, Kristi Thon and several others from other years.
Everyone cant make it all the time, and that's okay! There's always more chickens. 😖🤣.
A special mention goes out to our kids; they pitch in like pros! They carry the heavy end of chores, make coffee break treats and pitch in where ever there's a need. Not only that, they have done the entire raising of the darn chickens this year.❤️

The last sun sets on Chicken Week. This Chicken Week has been eventful in all things Chicken. Spent hens gone, new Ready To Lay hens picked up ( beauties), baby laying hens installed, 160 or so meat birds reclining gracefully in ice baths/ freezer bags, shop being scrubbed down, children hauling refuse to the pit while howling like coyotes ( real coyotes unsure of protocol in this instance), new friends made, old friendships rekindled. Grateful, grubby, exhausted and off to make supper. After a spirited discussion, and much bargaining re chores and duties, skillets made by yours truly have been decided upon. May your lives be as blessed as mine. Though I hope your feet and fingers hurt less. ❤️❤️❤️
