Soooo I was planning on making a personal kimchi restock.

But I’ve had quite a few enquiries asking me if I would be making any kimchi so I’m going to make a LARGE BATCH and am taking pre-orders. 🙈

I’ll be visiting the lovely Jen from Suh Brothers Farm / 형제농장 in Surrey for some freshly picked napa cabbage grown on her family farm so this batch will be extra special. ❤️

What’s your lazy recipe? This is one of mine - Spicy Tuna Udon ready in 10 mins.

TIP 💡 Frozen udon yields a better texture so grab a packet the next time you’re in an Asian supermarket.

Save this for the next “I need to eat something quickly” moment.

My go-to pizza topping:
- marinated chilli & garlic prawns
- chorizo ( we didn’t have any so subbed with Chinese sausage)
- classic tomato base

I’ve been thinking about posting for weeks.

But everytime I felt stuck. It felt like I needed a clear update, a direction, or some kind of conclusion.

Instead, here’s an honest snapshot of where life has been lately. Still figuring it out.

Its spot prawn season in BC! Take the opportunity to try these delicious freshwater prawns as they are only available for a month between mid-may to mid-june. 🦐

Tip 💡💡 Spot prawns are best consumed as fresh as possible or lightly boil. Buy them live and eat them ASAP.

I’m eating them sashimi style and made a quick vinaigrette using the following ration: 2 parts vinegar, 1 part soy sauce, a pinch of sugar and 0.5 part chilli oil. It’s meant to be tangy to bring out the sweetness of the spot prawn so taste and adjust accordingly.
