With a promise of using predominately locally grown ingredients to make their syrups, instead of using the common artificially flavoured day-glo & flavoured ones, frostbites became known for their fresh, unique, whimsical flavours. Owners, Peggy + Martyn, knew they were on to something great when their farmer’s market booth became a weekly stop for kids of all ages. Alongside the boom of local dis

tilleries in BC, customers started demanding to be able to take bottles of frostbites syrups home with them to stir up cocktails and craft sodas. By 2013, Peggy + Martyn established themselves as syrup manufacturers, bottling up their seasonally inspired syrups year round in Squamish, BC. Use frostbites syrups to craft drinks, boost smoothies, drizzle over desserts, brighten up popsicles, or add to any other culinary endeavor

You can find frostbites on the shelves of select, locally owned stores, as well as being served in restaurants and cafes around BC.

The past month has been hectic! But this week has been even crazier with crops coming in from every direction! We’ve been a bit short staffed this year but last night good old Facebook Squamish Jobs pulled through with the most epic crew! How did I get so lucky? It was an international crew from Mexico, Chile, Cameroon, Catalonia, New York (we’re our own breed and rarely identify as American 🤣😜) and a couple token Canadians. What a great team that hustled today to get all the ingredients ready for processing, packaged hundreds of bottles, PLUS shipped a dozen orders, AND made as many deliveries to Vancouver! ALL BEFORE NOON!!!
The best part? They all want to come back next week! 🤯

In my happy place today.

Not going to lie: I’m exhausted. The past few weeks have been crazy - fighting to get bottles, navigating insane price increases, coordinating with farmers, hiring new staff - training new staff - markets upon markets, production that I’m falling behind on, chasing payment for invoices long past (🤯🤯😵‍💫), etc etc etc….Work life balance? Ugh, what’s that?

But when I get into the elderflower orchard and start picking? My brain turns into a Disney princess. The birds are singing, the scent of the flowers overtake everything, I’m recharged, and all of those people who still owe me money for product they ordered and sold? Well, I still haven’t forgotten about them, but my stressed out brain gets a break from all the feelings!
