NEW Product Alert! Can you guess what flavour vinegar this is? Leave a guess in the comments!

A NEW flavour of Rosé Balsamic is on our shelves - and it is so exciting when our distributor releases a new flavour they've been working on perfecting and - this one is pretty near perfect.

Would you look at that pretty colour? It is not ruby red, not coral pink, it is an especially pretty shade. And the flavour? Tart and sweet and refreshing and NOSTALGIC. :)

Have you guessed it? One more clue? Let's just say if you live in southeast Manitoba, you will be familiar with this! This flavour is an elevated blast from a Mennonite past! What a treat!

This week at Prairie Oils & Provisions we're featuring our Dilly Chicken Pasta Salad and doesn't it look amazing? This hearty pasta salad has shell pasta, chicken, Bothwell cheese cubes, fresh dill, and a creamy dressing featuring our Saltwest Naturals Dill Pickle Sea Salt from BC and our Lemon White Balsamic… yum!

You will also love our Tex Mex salad this week! A delicious taste of summer featuring beans, corn, mango, and cilantro, and dressed with our Cilantro & Onion Olive Oil and the Jalapeno Lime White Balsamic. A flavour-packed, fun and filling meal-sized salad. Ready to be eaten as is or you could crush up some tortilla chips to take it to the next level.

Lastly, Minestrone Soup - a perfect light soup for summer. It has beans, diced tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, macaroni, fresh basil and our Tuscan Herb Olive Oil and Vinoso Red Wine Vinegar. Can't eat dairy? No problem! This soup gets its cheesy flavour from just the right amount of Nutritional Yeast. The end result is hearty and filling, and a classic taste of the Mediterranean!

If you're new here, have you noticed we do a Staff Flavourite every month? Each month one staff member picks their two (current) favourite products and we put them on SALE for 10% OFF for an entire month.

So many people have asked about the salad we helped create for the recent Taste of Steinbach event. I was on the food committee and I had a vision for the salad. I presented it to Chef Rob from Von Slicks Finishing Butters as he was making that course. He took that vision and created an amazing salad.

Due to all the creative and delicious "cheffing additions" Rob did with the ingredients I gave him, there is no way I can give you an accurate recipe of what was served that night. But the dressing used Dill Olive Oil with Cucumber Melon White Balsamic. Dill-icious! Hats off to everyone who was involved and pulled off this incredible event that had just over 700 people attending. That's no small feat!

Come on in and ask us for a sample of the Dill Olive Oil and Cucumber Melon White Balsamic. This may be the new salad dressing hit of the summer!

You are specially invited to our store on June 19 & 20 for our Customer Appreciation Days! We never did a grand re-opening celebration in our new store due to the construction on the highway in front of our store when we moved in last year. Now we have been here for a year (hard to believe!) and it is time to do something. :)

We appreciate all of our customers that continue to support our small business and this is how we can say thank you. Summer in the City will also be happening in Steinbach and there will be SO much to see and do, so we're getting in on the fun happening that weekend, too.

SOLD OUT 'til Saturday! Wow! We should've known you guys love chips and dip as much as we do! Thanks for the amazing response to the launch of our Creamy Feta Dip and the Pineridge Hollow Beet Chips. We are making more to keep up with demand. We're still accepting online orders so you can place yours and be notified when your order is ready - usually within 24 hours, but we can at least let you know if we need more time.

NEW Product Alert! We now carry Pineridge Hollow Beet Chips annnnnd our very own, new, first-ever, housemade Creamy Feta Dip! This is a perfectly paired snack if you ask us. :) But don't just take our word for it, come on in and have a sample for yourself!

A great big thank you to Agatha for helping us create another delicious item for our store! The creaminess with the slight tang from the feta and the bright flavor of dill really come through and complement those delicious beet chips.

The Creamy Feta Dip also features a ton of local products, like Chaeban Feta, Gourmet Inspirations Garlic Lovers Seasoning, Spice Affair Everything Onion Seasoning and our Garlic Olive Oil, Barrel Aged Apple Cider Vinegar, and Lemon White Balsamic. It is SO GOOD.
