Dill pickle - homemade dill pickles and dill from our garden
Pizza - fresh tomatoes and basil from our garden and homemade pizza sauce

These are going to be some neat tomatoes!!

We have 26 different varieties of heirloom tomatoes this year and last count we had 196 plants .. we are going to be canning for weeks 😂

This has been such a fun experiment, we made a hugelkultur bed , more like a hill lol. Pumpkin mountain ...
It's full of old grass , wood and tree branches from the orchard build and compost from last year .

We are at 70 feet of vines now 🫪 and a ton of different heirloom pie pumpkins ...

One of our favorite things to grow , I'm so happy to have the room now ..

I think I'm obsessed with this steam juicer , we have now made all the components to cherry lemonade ourselves . Last was the lemonade part. 10 lbs of steamed lemons gave us, almost 9 cups of lemon juice and a huge container of lemon pulp ,soon to be used in lemon curd for some pies 🤤. The house smells incredible!!

If you have one of these juicers kicking around and no longer use it , send us a message , we'd love to buy or trade with you .

It's market day !!!
We just turned the ovens off , time for a quick nap and off to the market.

On the menu today

Sourdough breads
*Plain
*Cinnamon raisin
*Seeded loaf
*Cheddar
*Hot pepper and cheddar ( this week's hot peppers are jalapenos, black Hungarian and banana pepper all picked from the garden .)

Focaccia breads
*Cherry pie ( Cherries from our orchard)
*Pizza ( pizza sauce made from everything in our gardens )
*Plain

Scones
*Jalapeno and cheddar ( jalapenos from our gardens )
*Lemon blueberry

Cookies
*S'mores
*Raspberry or blueberry cheesecake (raspberries from our garden)

*Sour cherry syrup (cherries picked in our orchard)

We are back at the Stettler District Agricultural Society farmers market tomorrow ..
Aireannas been busy baking new recipes with all the fruit we have picked in the yard the last week ..

Come say hi and do your grocery shopping , so many incredible vendors to choose from ..

TUESDAY = MARKET DAY!
You guys SHOWED UP last week — and we are so thankful! ❤️ We’ve got another great lineup of vendors ready for you tomorrow from 4–7 PM.
And now there’s really no excuse for the husbands… 😉 The @ Olde English Restaurant is open all day AND during the market. So fellas, grab yourself some supper and a cold Stettler Brewing Company beer while the wife shops. Everybody wins.
And if that’s not enough action, Canadian Horses to Move Timed Event Production will be happening in the outdoor arena with some of the best barrel racers in the industry!
Groceries, baking, local goodies, supper, beer AND barrel racing… Tuesdays at the Ag Society are getting pretty hard to beat!
Come hungry. Bring your shopping bags. And apparently… bring your husband. 😂
