I had the joy and honor to help in the kitchen for a dinner with Paper Kite | Judy & Hans 👩🏻‍🌾🧑🏻‍🌾 last Friday. The team there is fantastic. Judy and Hans have assembled a wonderful team. The food they grow and cook is incredible,and quite frankly, no one is doing anything like it in the area. They will be doing these dinners once a month for the next three months - Aug, Sept and Oct. Make sure to book your seat. Some of the best food around!

We are excited to be teaming up with Aurum Brewing Company again! This time, we are grilling up some sausages from butchers around Quinte and putting our own spin on it. Stop by for a hot sausage and a cold beer! See the menu in our previous post. Hope to see you there!!

'Amish' donuts. So good. Simple, fresh and incredibly delicious. Plus, a stop at . Their cheese bread (with garlic) is incredible. I daydream about it. Warm and greasy. I guess it's a carb day!!

Already we have some great stuff popping up around the yard. Admittedly it's only one stalk of asparagus so far, but we are optimistic there are more on their way.
The mint is so welcome this time of year! So fresh. So vibrant and green. We don't see it on enough savory dishes.
Rhubarb is so fantastic! Have you ever had it in a curry? So good!!

I went to a soft opening for yesterday. Sorry for the sh*tty photo, but Joe and Prat definitely deserve some love. Great people and great beer. They have been given some road blocks on their journey but opening day is almost here! Make sure to check them out. They are elevating the Ontario beer scene.
