Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you to everyone for yesterday!

Despite suppliers not carrying our normal supplies, a boil water advisory in Shakespeare and the two of trying to work our day jobs this week, we pulled off a Good Friday Fish and Chips day! The Tin House fired up with no issues, pre-orders were filled in less than 24 hours, the sun was shining and we got to see our favourite people! So many things to be grateful for!

We are also grateful for the opportunity to serve you all for the past six years!

But we have officially decided to end this chapter! We are both working full time now and running the Tin House takes a lot more energy than we have to give at the moment.

No promises, we may do one more day before the insurance runs out on June 1. If we do, we'll post about it here.

In the meantime we'll be enjoying time with family, friends and our puppies. And perhaps visiting other crazies who enjoy cooking and serving food from tin houses.

This is truly going to be one of those times that stands out in our memories of The Tin House.

Since we met Christine, she has always been doing kind gestures for us ... Drinks on hot days, treats from The British Touch, donations in our name. Well this one took the cake! She left us this note and money on Friday to pay for people's meals this weekend.

Christine, you accomplished your goal of paying it forward and making people smile. These are just a few of the examples! You are one of a kind and we are humbled by your kindness and generosity. Thank you for all of your support and for being you!

Yesterday was a little crazy (thanks to everyone that came out and waited). But that means we don't have a lot left today.

Opening at 11:30 am today and we'll likely run out of burgers quickly.

We also think that means we'll be closing around 2 or 3 pm.

🖤❤️2022 Season Update❤️🖤
Welp, this makes it official ... We are sad to say that we won't be running The Tin House this year. It isn't goodbye, hopefully just a see you soon.

We're going to take a break this year, try new things, slow down a bit, and enjoy a summer with our family and friends.

It was always a dream of ours to run a business, and we still can't believe we did it. We learned so much and loved (almost) every day of it.

THANK YOU to each and everyone of you! We couldn't have done it without your love and support over the past five years.

No promises, but we will try and do a few events throughout the year.

We'll miss you all. Tell your dogs we said hi!

Even though our regular season has come to an end, we're not done cooking yet!

This Saturday, September 11 (12 noon - 6:40) we will be doing chicken wings again!

Orders will be scheduled every 20 minutes to help with wait times and distancing (and we only have two fryers 😯)!

Message us through social media or email [email protected] to pre-order. Unfortunately we've had trouble receiving messages through the website.

Make sure to let us know:
- your order
- your sauce preference
- if you want them breaded or naked
- what time you would like to pickup and we'll do in our best to accommodate

That's a wrap on another season!

We'd love to say it was amazing, but it was another hard year, so for our own sanity we decided to shut 'er down early again.

We hope that next year things will be different. We need a bigger trailer so that you don't have to experience the waits you did this weekend. The reality is we work in a really small space that was never intended to pump out the amount and type of food that we do.

A bigger space means we can have more fun and try new things which is what helps drive us.

And this wouldn't be a wrap-up post if we didn't take the time to thank all of you and tell you how much we appreciate your love and support. We wouldn't do this if it weren't for the people that return week after week. We don't think you know how much this means to us. There are no words. THANK YOU ❤️🖤

Now having said all that, we don't want to go out like we did this weekend. So we will be doing a few more days between now and (maybe) Thanksgiving. Stay tuned for plans for next weekend. We'll post details this week to our social media channels. Like earlier this year, we'll be doing pre-orders and set pickup times.
