Our family has been growing Strawberries since 1975. Strawberry production in Stratford started in 1994.

We planted the first Strawberries the year our oldest daughter was born. As our loyal customers remind us every year, our 4 children Katherina, Louisa, Gloria and Georg all spent their first summer of their lives in the stroller at the Booth of the Strawberry Field and throughout the years. To this day, they are all an integral part of the production and marketing of our Berries and helping in wha

tever way they can. They are trying to do their best in serving our valued customers and getting better every year. We take pride and work hard to deliver a superior product. We supply Strawberries picked daily fresh as well as Pick your own (please bring your own containers or baskets for Pick your own)...Thank you

Friday, July 10 🍓 last day

What a beautiful sunset we had last night while checking the fields. It’s always bittersweet when strawberry season comes to an end, but last night was a beautiful reminder of why we love what we do.

There are some beautiful berries in the field after a day of ripening, but we need a little extra time to get them picked, so we’ll be opening later today. Supplies will be limited, and our Stratford stand will be the only location open.

📍 Stratford: 10:00 a.m. until sold out
📍 Kitchener: Closed
📍 Cambridge: Closed

As our June-bearing strawberry season comes to a close, we want to sincerely thank everyone for another wonderful season. We truly appreciate your support, your patronage, and the many familiar faces who stopped by our stands. Whether you visited once or many times, thank you for making our season so special.

🍓 Good news! Our daughter and her husband planted a patch of everbearing strawberries this year. While supplies will be limited, we’ll have fresh local berries available at the Stratford stand on Mondays or Tuesdays, and Fridays, beginning next week. Keep posted !

Hours will generally be 11:00 a.m. until sold out, so be sure to stop by early if you’re hoping to satisfy your local strawberry craving.

We are getting a head start on some exciting things today. 😊
As you can see from the collage, we were up at 6:30 AM and out in the field harvesting fresh leaves. 🍃

Meanwhile, the team at Joyous Tea has been busy washing these beautiful strawberries from Walch Family Strawberries 🍓

it’s a peek behind the scenes. We are currently working on something very special for you all, and we’re getting closer to sharing it! ✨

The berry patch needs a little rest today! 🌱

Our fields have been well picked over the past few days, so we’ll be closed today to give the berries a chance to ripen.

Please keep an eye on our page for updates. We’re hoping to reopen Friday with a limited pick, if conditions allow.

*UPDATE: will be in Kitchener at 1pm. We apologize for inconvience. As we come to end of season. Picking gets harder and more unpredictable.

Last few days of strawberries! We’ll keep everyone updated as we sell out.

We’re also watching the fields closely and may need to close the patch for a day this week to allow more berries to ripen before reopening. We’ll keep you posted.

KITCHENER UPDATE: We will be opening Kitchener at 12:00 as picking is going slower than expected.

Our hardworking pickers are out in the fields, but picking is slowing down as we near the end of the season.
