After that freeze the trees opened up overnight and just started pouring the sap out! We are in full blown boil hard and long mode now!! Mother Nature is being very kind to us!!👍❤️

We have been in some cold air here in southwestern Ontario for the past few days and the sap has completely stopped running. This gives us time to completely clean out the boiling pans restock the wood hutch inside the shack. Temperature is on the rise right now and the forecast for the coming week looks very good for ideal sap running temperatures!! This first run of sap is one of the better runs in the last 10 years or so.

The sap has been moving pretty good this week. These very warm temperatures have slowed it down but the season is off to a decent start. With the massive amounts of rain we got the last 48 hrs most of the snow pack has now melted.
