The Docherty Family of Hazelbrook has been operating the Lil Farm On The Jib since 2010. What started out first as a Junior Achievement student business through the Young Millionaires program grew into a annual summer business that this busy family operates together. We have used this business as a way to support our 5 sons activities, as well as teach them the value of hard work, where our food c

omes from and the importance of giving back to your community. We truly enjoy being able to help various community groups and local charities with our popular Sunflower U-Pick. We donate 50% of all sales to support a selected charity annually. This farm is busting at the seams with various gardens, sunflower & pumpkin patches as well as furry and feathered critters with free range hens, 3 dogs, 5 cats and a rooster. Hello everyone, yes we are open today “Labour Day”. The patches did sustain some significant damage from the past three days of wind 🌬️ and rain 🌧️ but we are hopeful with some sun ☀️ later this week the flowers🌻 will perk back up. We are busy trying to get the trails cleared and displays back up that had blown down. It is not as majestic as it was before the weather bomb, but there are still lots of flowers and we will be offering the ones harvested from the trail clean up as fresh picked later today with 100% from those sales being donated to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. 🐝 ☀️ 🌻

Today is Sunflower Bouquet Subscription day so I ventured out to the patch to get a better look. I know it is okay to have many emotions at the same time so I am sad, discouraged, thankful and as always, grateful.

Our farm is located at 84 MacLennan Road in Hazelbrook, we are a self-serve U-Pick Sunflower Farm. 🌻🐝

🚗 Entrance fee is $10 per carload includes admission + 10 sunflowers
🌻 Additional blooms: $1 each
🐶 Pet-friendly (leashes required) and please clean up, if needed
🅿️ Parking is to the right as you enter, please do not drive up driveway
🚻 Washroom facility
