Hello farm fam!

We’ve been a little absent. Life in 2026 has been hard, I have no other word for it.

We haven’t been as active on the farm as we would have been in previous years, so if you have reached out and heard nothing back, we send our sincere apologies.

As we move into some normalcy here, we have a little more capacity to take on a few birthday parties or other events here and there. So please reach out again if you were thinking of us.

We welcomed twin girls.
Our princess Aimee birthed these beauts all on her own. Such a trooper as a first time mumma.

This is an important opportunity to help build a clearer picture of how access to supports and barriers to access are affecting families, and to ensure these experiences are better understood.

Thousands of families of children with disabilities are are sitting on waitlists for support from the Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program for years at a time. These are critical years in a child's development, that families can't get back.

"[Inclusion Alberta CEO Trish] Bowman warned that the long-term consequences of underfunding these services will be felt across the province for decades.

“These are investments in children and families that will make Alberta strong. To fail to do that is really a failure that we will live with for generations,” Bowman said."

We welcomed our first kid of 2026 yesterday. A complete surprise, and we are so grateful she is a healthy babe.
The boys have named her Ellie.
