Free Workshop at the North Bay Farmers' Market

Join us at the North Bay Farmers’ Market on Saturday for a Seed Starting Workshop with Donovan of Earth & Soul Farm. Donovan will be sharing helpful tips and guidance on how to get your seedlings off to a strong start this spring, including timing, soil, and simple techniques to help your plants thrive.

Two workshops will be offered during the market:
10:30 AM and 12:00 PM

While you’re here, don’t forget to check out our seed swap, where vendors and visitors are invited to bring along home-saved or surplus seeds to exchange with fellow gardeners.

Join us between 9:30AM–1:30PM at 222 McIntyre Street West on March 14th and enjoy live music, shop local and get inspired for the upcoming growing season.

Great to be a part of this market

Celebrating their 10th year as a Winter Market vendor, & Soul Farm has become a valued and familiar presence at the North Bay Farmers’ Market. Based in West Nipissing, Jeannie and Donovan, along with their team, grow an abundant variety of products throughout the season, including cut flowers, field vegetables like cabbage and broccoli, and year-round leafy greens and herbs.

While they offer an impressive range of farm-grown goodness, their absolute favourite product is their seedlings, especially their tomatoes, which are nurtured in one of their greenhouses. Each year, they put special focus into growing strong, healthy plants to help ensure their customers’ gardens thrive. One of the highlights of the season is hearing the stories of success when those carefully tended seedlings turn into flourishing backyard harvests.

When asked what they love most about being part of the North Bay Farmers’ Market, the answer was heartfelt. “Being at the market has so many positive benefits. The one that wakes me up every Saturday morning with a smile is knowing that we get to use our small, local food company to make a difference in local food access for many in our community.”

Visit Earth and Soul Farms at the market this Saturday, March 7th and every Saturday, at 222 McIntyre Street West from 9:30AM to 1:30PM to explore their locally grown selection of greens, seedlings, and more. Be sure to arrive early, as they often sell out!
