Fair Winds Orchard FAIR WINDS ORCHARD, a small family run orchard since 1949, produces a variety of fruit and berries in season.

Owners Barbara and Stan Etter, have been members of the Penticton Farmers’ Market since the early ‘90s.

Cookies, $15 a dozen. (Shortbreads, Thumb Prints or Ginger Snaps)

This is Stan wearing his uncle Joe's beaded vest. Like Stan's mother, and all of her siblings, all went to residential school. Yes, they survived. But at a cost. The trauma that Joe endured was heavy and followed him through his life. Today, I am thinking of him and all the other children who survived, and those who didn't. I wish life could have been different for them. They didn't deserve the pain they endured. 🧡
