Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! ❤️
We'd like to take a moment to thank all of you for supporting us year after year, and especially this year.
The season got off to a rocky start when a few unseasonably cold evenings in early spring took a heavy toll on our crops. We ended up with no apricots, only about a quarter of our pear crop, very few strawberries, and just a fraction of our usual raspberries. But we carried on and made the best of what we had.
And then came the fire.
Our hearts are with everyone who lost their homes and with those who are still adjusting to the reality of how much of our community has been lost. During that time, we were grateful to be granted a few day passes that allowed us to return for a few hours at a time to pick some of our peach crop.
It's been a difficult year. But through it all, we find ourselves looking back with gratitude and a deeper understanding of just how vulnerable our earth is, and how we need to show up for her just as much as she shows up for us.
Thank you all for being part of our little farm and for continuing to support us through the good seasons and the difficult ones. It's been such an honour getting to know so many of you.
