This is all that’s left of our home and shop.

17 years of building our family here.

Everything we owned is just…gone.

We know we can replace everything we lost with something new, but it’s the things that can’t be replaced that is the hardest to come to terms with.

Inherited items from our family that has passed away.

Loved ones ashes. Four different family members.

If we can come through this on the other side, even slightly intact, I will be so grateful.

For now, it’s one day at a time.

AUGUST 15 UPDATE — LEAVE SOME LOVE ❤️

We are OPEN TODAY from 10 AM–4 PM for our Area F & Summerland Total Loss Families.

The support continues to be unbelievable. This morning, Khalsa Aid Canada travelled all the way from Vancouver and arrived with an incredible amount of new clothing, chargers, toiletries and essentials for our families. How amazing is that?

CURRENT DONATION NEEDS

* Men’s & women’s underwear — ALL sizes (NEW only)
* Charging blocks & cables
* Nail clippers
* Cleaning supplies
* School supplies
* Reusable mugs & water bottles
* Small-denomination gift cards — any store

Gift cards are huge. They give families flexibility, choice and a little bit of normality — especially families with kids, like mine. Sometimes being able to walk into a store and choose what you need yourself means more than people realize.

We’ve also created something really special at our Free Store.

When you stop by, leave a note. Leave some encouragement. Leave some love.

We’re collecting these messages for our total-loss families, and when our community is rebuilt, I want to turn these notes into a permanent sign in our community.

A sign made from the words that carried us through this.

A reminder that during some of our darkest days, people showed up.

Years from now, when the homes are rebuilt and life has moved forward, I want our families to be able to look at it and remember the incredible love and support that surrounded us when we needed it most.

Thank you so much to everyone in my community here for all your kind thoughts, prayers advice etc.
We don’t have a home to go back to once the evacuation order is lifted, but we are trying to sort through insurance, work, and life in general right now.
Thank you SO much for everything. Everyone has been so unbelievably kind and I am so appreciative.

All the service personnel on the ground doing all the work deserves all of our love. Everyone is doing their best for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all of them.

My best friends set up a Go Fund Me. I’ve been asked to attach the link in my profile.

I’ll keep this little community updated as we go along. But know that you are all in my heart. 💗💗

I am so sorry to tell everyone, but the Summerland Cake Shed and cake orders are on hold until further notice.
Along with our town that was evacuated last night, our home did not make it and we are just in shock.
This picture is of where my house was.
I’m not sure what this means right now, but I will keep everyone updated as soon as I have more info.
