A huge thank you to Chef Jeff and the whole Miradoro team. ❤️

Throughout September, their Oysters & Bubbles fundraiser raised $652 for LocalMotive and our Summerland Sauce Project with Ned Bell , with a portion of proceeds from every pairing sold coming our way.

Jeff has been such a strong supporter of our farm and local food, and his support means so much to us, especially after the season we’ve had.

It’s chefs like Jeff, who continue to choose local farmers and step up when it matters, who make our Okanagan food community stronger and more viable.

The farm work is nearly done, racing the frost at this time of year and trying to get as much off the fields as quick as we can.

Hey Penticton, we are your Farmers' Market all through the winter!

When the Farmer's Market closes and the fruit stands shut their doors we will still be open all winter long with local fresh veggies and fruit. Make us part of your grocery shopping routine.

Beautiful local pears, plums, grapes and pumpkins are filling our market. You can also get local meats, eggs, dairy and bulk goods. The harvest changes quickly, so come enjoy these crops while they’re here.

It’s been a hard season for our farms, and your everyday grocery shopping makes a real difference.

For those of you wondering what happened to our chickens since the fire…..
🐓 🐓 🐓
Our chickens miraculously survived the night. Their coop was never taken by the flames. It’s frightening to imagine what a strange event it must have been for them, locked in their coop, hearing the roaring of the flames, smelling the unbelievable smells of destruction and inhaling the thick black smoke.
Luckily, a team of livestock/pet emergency responders were able to get to them shortly after the fire to open the coop and let them free range.
They spent the next two weeks a little wild…. Ranging the farm for food and water, roosting up in the orchard at night. With no one to care for them, predators slowly started to pick away at the flock.
One day it became starkly apparent to us that they needed rehoming quick. Some staff members and family friends were able to transport the flock to prairie valley, where they now live in their mobile coop and are being well cared for. ♥️
Here, these sweet birds now live in peace!
With loads of area to roam, good compost and lots of care and attention.
They are happy in their new home, and I’m sure they are grateful to be well loved after such an ordeal.

Hello to all our dear customers-
It’s been a challenging few weeks, and we’ve been very busy making a lot of changes to be able to pack boxes again.
We’ve lost a lot of cold storage and access to our packing house. But we are attempting to make it all work at the store location next week!
We are offering two sizes of boxes, Farmer’s Choice, as a way to get our harvest to happy, deserving mouths!
There are a few add ons available as well.
