Hi Folks, crazy weather for sure. Yesterday boiling hot, planted some tomatoes πŸ… outside in late afternoon, & today is sooo cold.

Sunrise Bumblebee, Yellow Pear.

DWARF: Mandurang Moon, Tasmanian Chocolate, 4 Blanche du Quebec, 2 Caitydid, 2 Golden Gypsy, 3 Awesome. ( Big, sturdy 3-4' plants with full-size big slicers. Can go in containers, but need a tomato cage or stake.)

SEE YOU IN THE MORNING!

Hi folks, have tried 3 times over a couple of days to make a short video of my tomato seedlings that are for sale this year, but I tell you I am no video queen, each one gets longer with more mistakes!! This is the first one, as the others got longer & longer as I gabbed on. However it was not a tornado ( obviously) but a hurricane ( you will see when you watch it). And as I turned my camera sideways for the last shot, I thought it adjusted automatically, but no ( I have since been shown how to fix that). If you are wanting tomatoes, especially heirlooms, I have lots for you.

Hi folks, just wanted to let you know a little early that I will be bringing some HERBS to the market this week as well as a few varieties of TOMATOES.

My greenhouse is packed with seedlings & I need to free up some space! The TOMATOES I am bringing were started a little earlier than the rest as they are my 'GREENHOUSE' tomatoes which I am planting now. I started a few extra & have what I need, so thought I should share these bigger seedlings with you now, as the MARKET tomatoes continue to mature for another week or two. Too cold at night outside yet!

Many of these varieties are from THE DWARF TOMATO PROJECT: Full-size big tomatoes on a 3' plant, perfect for containers as long as they're staked or have a cage. This is an ongoing project between Australia & the US to create manageable plants for the smaller home garden. I have collected quite a few varieties & have a few to share with you this year. Plus a few others of my favourites & ones that I like to plant in the greenhouse ( & later bring to the market for you to eat!).

HERBS:
1) Basil: Dolce Fresca, British Basil, Cinnamonette, Greg, Holy Basil ( Tulsi), Persian, Mammoth, Siam Queen & Thai.
2) Parsley: Flat, Curly
3) Greek Oregano
4) Za'atar
5) Sweet Marjoram
6) Catnip
7) Lemon Bergamot - perrenial herb for tea, aiding in digestion, anti-inflammatory properties, promoting relaxation, and can help to loosen and expel mucus.

The herbs need to go in a sunny window to grow on a bit before planting outside, just not enough space here.

May bring a few SWEET PEPPERS 🌢 too!

Price same as last year!
TOMATOES & PEPPERS: $5 each or 6 for $25.
HERBS: $4.50

See you on Saturday at Summerside Farmer's Market , 9am -1pm.

Hi folks, I am dreaming of warm weather, spring planting, not our present weather outside! Seeds are occupying my time incessantly! Some new varieties this week will be at the market tomorrow.

The peppers started a couple of weeks ago are now sprouting their first true leaves. The greenhouse tomatoes are all planted as are herbs such as basil, parsley, oregano & sage.

Arthur has a huge new shipment of CHEESE this week. New shipment of fresh herbs & spices too, plus new Speerville products !

This week I have organic WHEAT BRAN avaliable as it seems to be hard to find in the grocery stores lately ( see additional pictures for more info).

Sorry folks, but NO FRESH GREENS this week. Too cold & gloomy to pick. Lots more next week.

See you in the morning at Summerside Farmer's Market 9am -1pm.
