Hi Folks, crazy weather for sure. Yesterday boiling hot, planted some tomatoes π
outside in late afternoon, & today is sooo cold.
I have a great selection of TOMATOES π
& PEPPERS πΆ at the market for you tomorrow. It is time now to harden them off & get planting as surely warm weather will soon be here to stay. The plants are sure ready to go in the ground & many are flowering, but you must keep the flowers pinched off until they are planted & roots starting to grow on the soil.
Here is the list:
CHERRIES: Be My Baby, Black Cherry, Blush, Peacevine, Gartenperle, Sweet Tumbler,
Sunrise Bumblebee, Yellow Pear.
DWARF: Mandurang Moon, Tasmanian Chocolate, 4 Blanche du Quebec, 2 Caitydid, 2 Golden Gypsy, 3 Awesome. ( Big, sturdy 3-4' plants with full-size big slicers. Can go in containers, but need a tomato cage or stake.)
EARLY SLICER: Buckflat's Wonder, Harbinger, Eden Star, Grightmire's Pride (low-acid), Legend, Quebec 5.
BEEFSTEAK: Cour di Bue Albenga, Cosmonaut Volcov, Rosabec, Rose de Berne. Mountain Merit, Radiator Charlieβs Mortgage Lifter, Garden Peach, Stefan's Gold.
BI-COLOUR: Pink Boar, Striped Cavern, Violet Jasper.
PURPLE: Goluboy Les ( Blue Forest), Paul Robeson , Purple Calabash.
PASTE: Polish Linguisa, Marzano Fire, Roma, San Marzano.
I also have 5 Black Krim as a few people asked me this spring if I would grow a few out for them. Hope you will come & remind me tomorrow as i have them behind the counter.

HOT: Caribbean Red Hot, Long Red Cayenne, Hinklehatz, Hot Portugal, Matchbox, Red Rocket.
SWEET: Bangles Blend, California Wonder, Gatherer's Gold, Gorria ( mild with just a bit of heat), Klari Baby Cheese, Lipstick, Petit Marseillais.
Thanks to all the folks last week who bought so many seedlings at the market & for those who came out to the farm during the week. Come on out tomorrow to Summerside Farmer's Market 9am -1pm as still a good variety to choose from.
