Dispel some myths about breeding with lights. Stopped in for a visit at the producers who got our ewelambs. He has them on lights to breed whatever time of year he likes.
It is incredibly simple. Good well raised breeding stock while important it's about management.
To say the barn needs to be totally dark,FALSE.
He never closes the front of the barn,fan is open.
2 little rows of LED lights that's it. Can breed in the heat of summer 95 plus % conception.Have 250-300% drop.
For anyone to say the breeding stock needs to come from an accelerated or out of season flock again ,FALSE.
Management,with good animal husbandry skills gets it done!!!
Fact failure is not the ewes fault!!!
