Four days. Three nights. Everything had to be carried in.

During this unsupported trek through the mountains of Xinjiang, the team discovered that some of the expected resupply points along the route were simply empty.

No store. No meal waiting ahead. Just what was already in the pack.

And somewhere inside that pack was PEAK4RATION EF.

Compact, ready to eat without cooking, and light enough to carry into places where every gram matters. When there was time and hot water, it could also be prepared as a warm porridge — a small comfort after a long day in the mountains.

These aren’t studio photos.

They’re real moments from the trail: sitting above the clouds, pack still on, opening a ration and eating before moving again.

Sometimes emergency food isn’t about preparing for the end of the world.

Sometimes it’s simply about having one more day of food than you thought you’d need.
