20 years of dedication, and a cookie was born
David Mackey was born in 1962 in beautiful Victoria, Canada. At the peak of his youth, 18-year old David became extremely allergic to commercially processed flour and foods that are high in sugar. If he is not careful, the consequences may be fatal.
David’s mother spent 5 years picking out organic foods for David. Carefully looking at the back labels of foods in the supermarket has become a regular task. This completely changed David’s lifestyle and habits.
Because of his allergies, David developed a dream. A dream to let more people know the goodness of organic foods.
From 1986-1996, David spent his time in England, studying the development of bean sprouts. Through the ten years of his studies, he developed ways to find new nutrients in bean sprouts. When he tasted the bread baked with wild wheat sprouts, he simply said “wow!” After this revolutionary taste-test, David decided to go all-in on his career.
