The summer is a busy time on the farm, resulting in fewer posts on here. Tonight I took a little drive to the corn field. I haven't been right into the field for about 3 weeks. It's changed...a little! It's almost time for the daily trips around the field to watch for predators.

Other activities throughout the day. Bring your lifejacket, swimsuit, lawn games, etc...it's a great space to visit and play for all ages!

The drone makes a trip down the field with fertilizer. It picks the most efficient way to apply with the least amount of travel time.

The planting prescription for our corn included a top dress of nitrogen fertilizer after the crop became established. Check out this video of Joseph Graham from Graham's Precision Agriculture completing the application by drone. In this video, Joseph is mapping the field. Joseph gives some great explanations of how everything works. As a separate post I'll include a couple more videos of the fertilizer being applied.
