Phew! It was so hot yesterday you could almost fry an egg on the sidewalk! Well, maybe not quite yet, but that reminds me. Don't you need to pick up some eggs at Feywood Grove Farm today? We're open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The fridge is stocked with eggs for $6 per dozen and we still have a couple of transplants of very healthy black currants and Fredonia grapes available for $15 each. Take a drive out and pick up some eggs for that Father's Day omelette!

Don't forget to stop in to Feywood Grove Farm to pick up a dozen eggs this weekend! We have a few tomato plants ($5 ea.), Fredonia grapes ($15 ea.), and black currants ($15 ea.) available as well. And today is a perfect day to transplant any of these and get a free watering in from the gentle rain we have falling this weekend.

What a lovely, sunny morning Cape Breton! In addition to our nutritious farm-fresh eggs at $6/doz. we have tomato plants (9 varieties) at $5 ea., black currant plants at $15 ea., and fredonia grapes at $15 ea. as well. Get 'em while they're hot! Open Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. No holds available on plants this year.

Tomato Update! Tomato plants will be available this coming weekend! The tomatoes we have available this year are the following heritage varieties: Sweetheart, Rideau cherry, Chocolate cherry, Tiny Yellow pear, Black plum, Japanese Black Trifele, Yellow plum, Sue’s Yellow plum, Black Krim, and Orange Mennonite. There are only a handful of each variety available and each plant is $5 each (we do accept barter if price is an issue). They will be available for pick up this coming weekend. Tomato plants are first come, first serve as we do not have the capacity to manage holds and pre-paid orders this year.

We also have a small number of black currant bushes ($15) and Fredonia grape plants ($15) as well as quite a few basketry willow cuttings ($2) ready to plant. Please contact us in advance if you would like us to put together a bundle of willow cuttings for you.

It might be snowing outside, but the tomato transplants are doing just fine in their mini greenhouse in the greenhouse. They will be available for sale very soon!
