THE HEART OF THE EXIT

Twenty-seven years ago, I took a leap of faith into self-employment with a purpose: to help people see their health and their body a little differently.

That journey eventually became ButterTrail Naturals, and over the years, this little business became so much more than a store. It became a community built on natural health, meaningful relationships, trust and a whole lot of heart.

Now, after 65 times around the sun, I’m preparing for another leap of faith.

The time has come to begin looking for the next owner of ButterTrail Naturals.

This is not a closing announcement. It is the beginning of a thoughtful transition and a search for the right entrepreneur who respects what has been built here and feels inspired to carry it forward.

Remaining with the new passionate business owner as needed is one last gift to the business and it’s loyal clientele.

After nearly three decades, this decision is bittersweet, but I feel more clarity than apprehension.

I’m ready for more family time, more freedom and whatever this next chapter has waiting for me.

And to every person who has ever said, “Go see Kim,” thank you. Those words have meant more than you know.

This isn’t goodbye. It’s simply the beginning of what comes next.

ButterTrail Naturals has been proud to carry Sissiboo Coffee Roaster.

There’s something special about being able to fill our shelves with products made here in Nova Scotia by people who care about their craft, their community and what goes into every bag.

Over the years, Sissiboo has become a familiar favourite for so many of our customers, and we’re incredibly grateful for the relationship we’ve built along the way.
