The peonies are popping and the ranunculus are pumping out blooms! This means the farm stand will be open! 🤗

Weekend flowers for June 13th and 14th.

St. Marys farmers market
8am until noon
Milt Dunnell field

Farm stand hours:
- Saturday 9am until 6pm

First market weekend of the growing season! 🌷

Took advantage of the beautiful day yesterday to tuck in about 1200 little plant babies 🌱🥰

-Snapdragons
-Statice
-Dianthus
-Ammobium
-Craspedia
-Bells of Ireland
-Scabiosa
-Feverfew

All these flowers are considered "cool flowers" meaning they can handle cooler temperatures and a light frost.

That didn't stop this worried plant mum from tucking them under frost cloth for their first night in the ground 🤭

Floral preservation and keepsakes 💐

I am beyond excited to be offering this new service here at YDFF!! 🤗

This all started late last year when one of our brides contacted us after their wedding to ask how to dry their bouquet. After some chatting the flowers were dropped back off here at the farm to be preserved. Once the flowers were dry a beautiful vase arrangement and shadowbox was created! (Last photo)

Since this first bride reached out, I have had the absolute pleasure of designing pieces for 2 additional brides as well as a beautiful memorial arrangement for a beloved father who was an avid hunter. (Second photo)

Wedding flowers, funeral flowers, just because flowers, fresh or already dried, I would be happy to help preserve the memories! 🥰

This is just a little bit about what we offer here at YDFF. And by we I mean me 🤭

- Farm stand for on-farm flower sales.
Open at the beginning of May and then open for the season starting mid-July until Thanksgiving. Open Tuesday through Sunday.

-Pick your own flower gardens. Open mid-July through until the end of September 6 days a week.

- Custom vase arrangements or wrapped bouquets for any occasion. Delivery available.

-Flower subscriptions! Spring or summer options available with delivery included.

- Dried florals. We love our dried flowers on this farm! Bouquets, straight flower bunches, bulk orders or seasonal creations.

- *NEW FOR 2026* floral preservation and keepsake shadowboxes. I tried this out at the end of last year and loved it so much it is now a permanent offering!

We have finally reached the end of January! 🤗

It feels like we are on day 40 of the month!

Despite it feeling like a long month we have been busy behind the scenes with:

-seed sorting
-starting the first seeds 🥰
-dried flower organizing and inventory
-reading to learn as well as for pleasure
-signing up for markets for 2026, yes already!
-lots of excel spreadsheets (not pictured because those are boring🙃)

Non-farm related activities:

-puzzling
-frigid walks
-yoga
-meal prepping to fill the freezer for busier times

It may be a quieter time of year but that doesn't mean there is no work to be done.

Seeds are all ready to be started. The seed starting schedule is in progress along with the farm layout.

Dreams for 2026 are coming together and will continue in February! ❤️
