Today we said goodbye to Sly Stone, Quest, Quetzalli, Cassidy and Tormenta, our summer alpaca friends. Thank you DL Farms Alpaca. We can’t wait to see who visits us next season.

Our fall crocus is now blooming and adding a splash of colour to the fall garden. This is not a true crocus but is actually a Colchicum. The leaves emerge in the spring/summer, die back and then the flowers emerge in the fall. All parts of the plant are poisonous so deer, rabbits, dogs and cats don't bother with it.

Yesterday we were proud to be invited to do a presentation on growing lavender in Bruce County at the IPM2026 in the MNP Lifestyles tent. May the rest of the IPM2026 be blessed with the same beautiful weather. If you haven't been, Saturday is the last day and there is so much to see and experience.
