Baker Extraordinaire is open till 3.00 pm Today at 2308 Archer Ave Braun's Island, Terrace. Still lots of baking left: bread, pies and cookies! River Mist Farm is also selling tomato plants today at the farm - buy 4 get one free. Hardened off ready to go in the ground.

We will have Tomato plants for sale here at River Mist Farm Farm Stand today Thursday June 4th from 10-1. Still a great time to get some tomato plants in the ground either in the greenhouse or outside. Buy 4 Tomato Plants get 1 free. At this point in the season I will have apple trees for sale by appointment only. Bakery will also be open during this time. We take electronic payment. We are located at 2308 Archer Ave on Braun's Island.

Since I am now semi-retired I will not be at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market this coming Saturday or for the next while. I will be back again at the farmers market once my potatoes and fall cabbage, brocoli etc. are available which will probably be early to mid August given the slow start we have experienced to the growing season this spring.

We will have Tomato plants for sale here at River Mist Farm Farm Stand this Thursday June 4th from 10-1. At this point in the season I will have apple trees for sale by appointment only. River Mist Farm will be selling apple trees and Tomato Plants at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market today on Sat May 30th. We have an amazing selection of both apple trees and tomato plants. Apple trees for sale today in order of ripening include: Yellow Transparent- historically the most important apple in Terrace - hardy, makes great sauce and pies, comes and goes in a flash and it typically beats the bears. Gravenstein - classic European pie and sauce apple. Freedom - mid season, large, disease resistant applde. Fireside - late, hardy, keeps well - all purpose. Nova Spy: Canadian introduction from Nova Scotia - late apple - great sauce, pies an easier apple to grow than Northern Spy yet similar. Belle de Boskoop - classic Dutch Heirloom: great baker, sauce and juice apple - long keeper - does well in BC. Golden Russet - great, late season apple needs at least zone 5 to fully ripen here: outstanding cider apple. We also have Yarlington Mill a cider apple tree for sale today - one of the most esteemed bittersweet cider apples.
Our tomato plants are hardened off and ready to go in the ground. We have Big Beef, Early Girl, Sungold, a cherry and many more. Come by and check out our selection.

This coming Thursday, May 14th, River Mist Farm will have a farm stand at the farm where Apple Trees and Tomato Plants will be for sale. We also have a good selection of Tomato Plants that are already hardened off and ready for planting in either an unheated greehouse or outside. We have an amazing selection of both tomato plants and apple trees. It is worth noting that all our apple trees for sale have come through a Terrace winter.
