Yesterday we headed to the Bulkley Valley to pick up the newest member of the Graham Acres Homestead & Creamery…. Grace! She’s a heifer (shorthorn/jersey/swiss x dexter) from a local friends homestead. Later this fall we will breed her so that we can start milking her this time next year!!! We are already dreaming of butter, cream and cows milk… not to mention the bi-product (beef!) don’t worry we are keeping the goats too, just not as many 😉

First spring pig on the hook!

Saved the head for our friends who will turn it into a delicious meal!

Tonight I rolled up my sleeves and filleted out the ribs for one beautiful pork belly… that we will cure later this spring into bacon! 🤤
