Sunshine Farms Canadian owned and operated vegetable farm and pickling operation Sunshine Farms is a family run farm and business.

We grow our own vegetables; they are picked and pickled by hand. They are processed at the peak of freshness, which allows them to keep their crispness, appearance, and taste. Everything is FREE OF Additives, Preservatives and Fillers. We guarantee a fresh, local, and naturally delicious experience with every bite. The pickles can be used as hors d’oeuvres, garnishes in a sandwich, or as a tasty snack. The uses are endless all we know is that once the jar is opened, they’re gone.

Fresh Asparagus is available in the greenhouse... do you know what that means? It's the unofficial start of the fresh, local produce season! 🥳 Our asparagus is locally grown at Sunshine Farms in Thamesville and available in the checkout line and at the Berry Beanery for $4.25/bundle (that's about a pound, give or take).

So start planning for a delicious side dish for dinner this weekend. 😉

P.S. if you want some asparagus grown even closer to home, we have asparagus crowns in the greenhouse that you can plant to grow your own! Ask for them from your checkout cashier.

Today, we are excited to pick up another generous donation of fresh asparagus from Sunshine Farms!

Because of their kindness, fresh, locally grown produce will be distributed to families and community food support programs across Chatham-Kent, helping ensure good food reaches those who need it most.

This is exactly what Harvest to Home is all about — rescuing fresh food, reducing waste, and connecting our local growers with local people. Every bundle of asparagus represents neighbors helping neighbors and a community coming together to make a difference.

ASPARAGUS ALERT 🌱💚

Starting TODAY after 1PM, all FreeHelpCK Free Food Pantries will be stocked with fresh asparagus 😋

Whether you roast it, grill it, air fry it, or smother it in butter (we don’t judge 😅), this fresh local treat is ready for pickup while quantities last!
