Seed harvesting continues! 🌻🌱

Echinacea, calendula, and sunflower seeds are being collected and saved for next year’s growing season.

One of my favourite parts of farming is knowing that this year’s harvest is already preparing us for next year’s growth. 💚

A little more self-sufficiency, one seed at a time.

What does eating local really mean? We still get plenty of questions (and sometimes frustration!) about why certain foods aren’t available locally year-round, so we’re talking about growing seasons, where our food comes from, and why understanding the difference matters. Plus, check out this week's free delivery sale all here! https://nhr.soundestlink.com/ce/v/0/6acbf0347bfbfc4d9dd88317

Spent a lovely day wandering through the Aberfoyle Antique Market near Guelph today! 🍂 I absolutely love the concept of the second-hand economy. So many treasures, so much history, and so many things that still have years of life left in them. Reusing, repurposing and keeping useful items circulating in our communities is such an important part of sustainability. It’s exciting to see how these ideas can fit into the bigger picture of what we’re building at Small Scale Farms. There’s so much more to community resilience than growing food! ❤️

Everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food. Especially when times are tough. ❤️

Our Pick & Pack Voucher Program is helping more families put good food on their tables, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s helping make that happen.

Each $30 voucher provides a half-bushel basket of fresh fruits and vegetables to someone who could use a little extra support.

When money is tight, healthy food is often one of the first things families have to compromise on. We don’t think it should be that way.

At Small Scale Farms, we’re working to make fresh food more accessible every single day, not just when there’s a fundraiser or special event.

Want to help? Sponsor a $30 Pick & Pack voucher and help us keep good food moving into the homes that need it most. Or, simply come shop our pick and pack line for yourself! 🌱
