This advertisement from the December 1963 issue of The Quarter Horse Journal shows two Hall of Fame Quarter Horses - Jet Deck and Sugar Bars. Both stallions were owned by Bud Warren and stood in Perry, Oklahoma.

Jet Deck was foaled in 1960. He was bred by William H. Carter in California. Jet Deck was by Moon Deck, a son of the Thoroughbred stallion Top Deck. He was out of Miss Night Bar, by Barred, a son of Three Bars. He was a full-brother to AAA-rated racehorses Miss Jet Deck, Bar Deck, Clovis Deck, Lightning Jet, Jet Too and Miss Prissy Jet. He was a half-brother to AAA-rated sires Three Jets and Night Bid.

Jet Deck made 31 starts and won 22 races. As a two-year-old, he won the Juvenile Championship, Arizona Downs Juvenile Championship, PCQHRA California Bred Futurity, Los Alamitos Futurity and Kindergarten Futurity. He was the 1962 AQHA Racing Champion Two-Year-Old C**t and Champion Stallion. The following year, he won the Pacific Coast QHRA Derby, Los Alamitos Invitational Championship, Ruidoso Championship Stakes, Ruidoso Derby, Rocky Mountain QHA Derby, Colorado Wonderland Handicap and Josie's Bar Handicap. He was the 1963 AQHA Racing Champion Three-Year-Old C**t and World Champion.

Jet Deck sired 580 AQHA registered foals. His best runners included Easy Jet, Jet Smooth, Jolly Jet Deck, Jet Charger, Mar Deck, Jet Royale and Tony B Deck. Jet Deck was only 11 when he was found dead in his paddock. An autopsy found that he had a lethal dose of barbiturates in his bloodstream. Strange boot tracks were found near his paddock, but the mystery was never solved. Jet Deck was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 1991.

Sugar Bars was foaled in 1951. He was bred by George Wood in El Paso, Texas. Sugar Bars was by the Thoroughbred stallion Three Bars and out of Fronterra Sugar, by Rey 39.

Sugar Bars made 30 starts and won 7 races. He earned an AAA rating and a Racing Register of Merit. Bud Warren bought Sugar Bars to breed to his Leo mares. He sired 867 AQHA registered foals. His notable offspring included Sugar Leda, Jays Sugar Bars, Nice N Sweet, Mr. Sugar Boy, Otoe, Cabin Bar, Gofar Bar, Bar Pistol and Sugar Line. Sugar Bars passed away in 1972. He was inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame in 1994.
