Little Otter Tree Farm is a family run business established by Jeff Scott 20+ years ago. Over the past few years, Jeff's brother Brent has joined the team to help with management, along with several of the Scott children and grandchildren. We specialize in Carolinian trees, but we can also to find that special tree. In the past, we have been involved in wedding favours, tabletop centrepieces, anni

Seedling Sale!

We also have Paw Paw seedlings available for $5.00 each. They are going into their second year of growth. The edible Paw Paw fruit has a custard-like texture and taste similar to that of banana and pineapple. At maturity, they can reach heights of 35+ feet. They also produce beautiful rich red-purple flowers. They thrive best in moist, well-drained soil.

Seedling Sale!!

We have Hybrid Chestnut available for only $5.00 each and are 16-24 inches in height. These are back-crossed with American Chestnut and the Chinese Chestnut.

The American Chestnut is nearly extinct, and the Chinese Chestnut is blight-resistant. At maturity, they will be between 35-60 feet in height and are fast growing, once established, growing 4-7 feet in height in 1 year. If you want these to produce nuts, you will need at least 2 different varieties for cross-pollination to occur. They thrive in sandy soil and require full sun.

We now have bareroot seedings available for a limited time!

These take a bit of time to get going, but they will definitely be worth the wait. If you're looking to start a privacy hedge (especially the White Cedar) or a wooded, forested area of your own, now is your chance! These trees are great for attracting wildlife to your yard/area, especially, deer, woodpeckers, chickadees as well as owls and hawks.

Balsam Fir: Four years old, 20 cm in height, $4.00 each.

White Cedar: Three years old, 25 cm in height, $3.00 each.

White Spruce: Three years old, 20 cm in height, $3.00 each.

White Pine: Four years old, 25 cm in height, $3.00.
