In Episode 2 of Breaducate, weโ€™re taking you behind the scenes to show you what goes into making our Sourdough, from our living levain to the care and craft behind every loaf.

Turns out, good bread definitely doesnโ€™t happen by accident. ๐Ÿ’›

Previously on Breaducateโ€ฆwe told you our Sourdough took a little trip to Belgium. ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ช

But how? And most importantly, WHY? Breaducate is back in session! ๐Ÿž๐Ÿ“š

Obviously we had to try the viral Sticky Toffee Toast. ๐ŸคŒ

Dates, peanut butter, grilled honey-butter bananas and chocolate shavings, all served on our Sourdough Vienna! Some might call this indulgent..and some might call it a mid-morning snack. ๐Ÿ‘€

Let us know if youโ€™ll be trying this one!

Think you can say Fructilactobacillus sanfranciscensis on the first try? ๐Ÿž Itโ€™s one of the bacteria found in our Sourdough starterโ€ฆnow say it three times fast. ๐Ÿ‘€

We love our Pumpkin Pie Scones. So naturally, we made an entire pie out of them. ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿฅง

Your Thanksgiving dessert is sorted. Full recipe on our website!

40 hours? Levain? Why does it all take so long? ๐Ÿ‘€

Take a seat because Breaducate is back in session. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿž

Youโ€™ve tasted our Sourdough. Now hear us out. ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿž

Juicy marinated chicken, crispy bacon, and our perfectly toasted Sourdough. Now THATโ€™S a sandwich. ๐Ÿฅช

We could talk about our Sourdough all dayโ€ฆso naturally, we made a whole series about it.

From its San Francisco roots to the loaves you pick up at your local bakery, weโ€™re telling you the whole story.

Sourdough facts that sound made up but arenโ€™t:

โœจ Our Sourdough was invited to join the Puratos Sourdough Library in Belgium, where sourdough levains from around the world are preserved and studied.
โœจ There, itโ€™s officially known as Sourdough 158.
โœจ Every loaf of our Sourdough takes more than 40 hours to make from start to finish.

Now youโ€™ve got some pretty good Sourdough facts to drop at dinner...๐Ÿ‘€
