Summerhill’s Ontario pasture-raised chickens come from a community of Mennonite farmers, where they’re raised outdoors on pasture. The result is rich, wonderfully pronounced flavour and naturally yellow fat from a diet rich in beta-carotene.

For our Herb Roasted Chicken recipe, we tuck butter, fresh parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme under the skin and inside the cavity, then roast until beautifully golden and juicy.

Chicken the way it’s supposed to taste—and a roast chicken recipe you’ll make again and again.

Local Ontario Cantaloupe from Goldsmith’s in Thornbury has just arrived at Summerhill—and it was picked only yesterday.🍈

Sweet, juicy and at its absolute best right now, it’s the inspiration for our Prosciutto-Wrapped Ontario Melon Salad.

Peppery arugula, salty prosciutto, ripe Ontario cantaloupe and a drizzle of Summerhill's NEW Glaze with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Simple, seasonal and so good.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Ontario Melon Salad

1 Local Ontario Cantaloupe, peeled and cut into lengths
8 slices prosciutto, halved
Summerhill NEW Glaze with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
3 cups baby arugula
Cracked black pepper

Wrap prosciutto around pieces of cantaloupe and place on a bed of arugula. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, sprinkle with cracked black pepper and serve. Yum!
