We enjoy making lots of different beer styles, but what do our pros drink? Given a choice, what would they reach for? We asked our staff three questions: what is their current favourite brew of ours, book, and band?

In the early days of Blood Brothers, we came up with a name for an IPA recipe we knew was special. We loved it immediately and thankfully, so did everyone else.

There was just one unexpected problem: nobody seemed to know how to say it.

So we hit the streets and asked a group of completely unqualified strangers to pronounce the name of our flagship IPA.

The results? Wildly inconsistent.

The conclusion? It doesn't matter.

However you say it, it's still delicious.

Just drink it.

It is time yet again for the annual Blood Brothers Battle of the Bands!

This year's contest will be held on September 19th in the Sound Garage on Geary Ave.
Six lucky bands will battle it out in our hallowed hall for a cash prize of $500 and free studio time at The Root Down studio.
But first...

Between August 10th-24th: for consideration, submit a video of your band with audio to [email protected] and the top six submissions will make the cut! Your band must be available and able to perform a 30 minute set. Set times will be provided after bands are selected.

The backline for the event is graciously provided by The Root Down studio.
