Providing young Canadians equitable access to food security, music education and sport opportunities. Getting on the podium is very difficult.

Staged in many cities across Canada in the fall, the regional events are a celebration of the pillars of Canadian culture – sport, music and food with the purpose of providing young Canadians with the opportunity to be extraordinary in the same pillars of Canadian culture. In each of the cities, 5 – 10 chefs compete with a dish of their choice paired with a Canadian wine, beer or spirit. To be invited to compete locally is a notch in the belt. To win regional gold is a major achievement. To be eligible to compete against each of the regional gold winners in Ottawa is a thrill. And to be crowned the top chef in Canada at the Canadian Culinary Championship is a career changer!

Something’s cooking in Saskatoon! October 29th, 2026 is the date we are celebrating 20 years of Canadian excellence at Prairieland Park.

We are pleased to announce that Anthony McCarthy has been named Saskatoon’s Chef of Distinction and will be one-half of the elite team representing Saskatoon at the Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa.

Only guests who purchase VIP tickets for the Saskatoon event will have the opportunity to enjoy a dish from this accomplished chef.

We are pleased to announce that Duncan Ly, 2014 Canadian Culinary Champion silver medalist, has been named Calgary’s Chef of Distinction, and will be one-half of the elite team representing Calgary at the Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa.

Chef Ryan O’Flynn, the 2015 Canadian Culinary Champion, who now calls England home and is the force behind three celebrated London restaurants, will be one-half of the elite team representing Edmonton at the Canadian Culinary Championship in Ottawa.
