WHAT IS MAHA-MAHA?
For the first time, we heartily accepted a small order of “Maha‑maha” for just $50.00 (see photo). Maha‑maha is a soft, creamy coconut pudding traditionally served during fiestas, holidays, and special gatherings. One of the most beloved Filipino kakanin, known for its comforting flavor and nostalgic appeal.
Chef Randy prepared one pack for tasting among the JRV staff. As part of our tradition, we also invited our customers to try it — and about six of them enjoyed a small slice. Their reactions were warm and positive, confirming that Maha‑maha truly holds a special place in Filipino cuisine.

We also received another customer’s order — a small Palabok tray for only $65.
What is Palabok? It is a classic Filipino noodle dish made with thin rice noodles topped with a rich, savory orange sauce. It’s traditionally garnished with shrimp, ground pork, chicharrón, boiled eggs, green onions, and fried garlic. The flavors are layered, festive, and unmistakably Filipino — a dish often served during birthdays, holidays, and family gatherings.
