Tonight, after 11 unforgettable years, the doors of Basil Box have officially closed. 🧋❤️
Before we say goodbye, we wanted to raise one final Thai Iced Tea — to the memories, the people, and the incredible journey this became.
What a beautiful run it has been.
11 years ago, Basil Box started as a small idea with big dreams. Over time, it became so much more than a restaurant. It became a second home, a family, and a place filled with people who shaped our lives in ways we will never forget.
To all of our guests — thank you — for every visit, every kind word, every catering order, every lunch break, every delivery, and every time you chose to support us over the years. You allowed us to do what we loved for over a decade and we will always be grateful.
But tonight, our hearts are especially with our team.
The people behind the counter and in the kitchen who turned stressful moments into inside jokes, covered shifts for each other, and somehow always found a way to pull through together.
We’ll never forget moments like noodles flying into a flame mid-cook 🔥😂, a teammate confidently hand-cutting Thai chilies before realizing the heat the hard way 🌶️😂, or taking a chance on a young photographer who is now shooting for the NBA 📸🏀.
We’ve also received messages from former team members saying Basil Box was their first job — and now they’re nurses, teachers, accountants, entrepreneurs, and amazing adults building their own lives.
We watched coworkers become best friends, best friends become family, and in some cases, even husband and wife. ❤️ That’s the part we will miss most.
Restaurants are often measured by sales or growth, but for us, success was always the people and relationships built along the way.
To everyone who was part of Basil Box — whether for two weeks or ten years — thank you. You will always be part of this story.
As we close this chapter tonight, we do so with full hearts and endless gratitude.
Thank you for the laughs, the chaos, the support, and for letting Basil Box be part of your lives.
