Hill N Dale Farm Bakery

Hill N Dale Farm Bakery i started this page in honor of my parents George and Frances Armstrong. They had a family business in the 70-80's a health food bakery

The little girl down the road was allergic to the gluten in bread. Mom (Frances Armstrong) found a recipe for gluten free bread and started to bake it from home. Before long they had a store in London on the corner of Dundas and Rectory Street, they hired a number of employees, Al Woods the baker that taught my dad the ropes. Dorothy the cashier and packager and maybe she did cake decorating too.

The business continued to grow and make a name for itself. By about 1975 they moved the business into a brand new building built on their property at Crossly Hunter corners. The name and reputation spread, soon they were delivering to different city's, Toronto, St Thomas and london are just a few i can remember.
