Welcome to a brand new week! Gin usually feels like a summer sip, but with the weather turning a bit warmer again we wanted to share one delicious option you can enjoy right now.

Georgian Bay Distillery Series Gin is a decade in the making and features 10 botanicals for 10 years. Juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, angelica root, grains of paradise, rose hips, tangerine peel, elderflower, and rose petals all come together in one bottle.

How would you enjoy it? I kept it simple and poured it over a large ice cube so you can really appreciate everything that went into it. 😊

Feeling the deep freeze today and in need of something to warm you up? 🥶🥃 These photos were taken before the snow rolled in - soak up the sunshine while you can. ☀️

With Canadian whisky in the spotlight lately, we wanted to shine a light on Ontario-made J.P. Wiser’s, which took home multiple honours at the Canadian Whisky Awards (Canadian Whisky Awards). Masterfully blended by Don Livermore (), the lineup had a huge showing including the 24 Year Old “Gold” winner. Huge congrats to the team, and fingers crossed we get to sample that one soon. 🤩

One of our personal favourites is the bronze-winning “Deluxe,” offering rich toffee and vanilla notes with a hint of spice. Smooth enough to sip on its own and just as delicious in a classic mix.

Long post, you’ve been warned! 🥳 What a year it’s been. I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and explain why mine is being sent days later. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade and we get to celebrate things when everyone else is out having fun. I had someone ask me why I work during the holidays, weekends and during other special times and I gotta admit, I really enjoy being part of someone’s experience of going out and having fun. In essence, I am celebrating with you! 🥰 Luckily I have a supporting family and small child who seamlessly will allow me to shift around what days our family celebrates.

This year I had big hopes of accomplishing so much more and doing my best to promote Ontario made beverages and the mission to . Mid-year we welcomed a new baby to our family and being my second and probably last I really wanted to be in the moment with him and took a pause. It’s been quite the journey so far and I think some parents with a couple kids might agree with the funny statement that having one is fun and the second one, is well, maybe a bit harder? 😆

Now that things are finding a routine and we are back at it, I’m excited to say some things we have accomplished so far in the first year of this initiative!

- 101 listings in 12 categories on our website (53 are craft breweries)
- 2100+ followers on Instagram (wow ty so much)
- Over a dozen craft breweries visited (love it)
- Our first collabs with T.O. Food & Drink Fest and Wellington Brewery
- Completed level 1 certification Prud'homme Beer Certification

2026 will be an *outstanding* year.

Oh, curious about the photo? This is Wellington Breweries Imperial Stout. I almost tasted hints of ginger because I had the gingerbread house in the background but that was my eyes messing with me haha. Reality - Rich, dark, coffee’ish, chocolatey, basically the holidays in a glass. Absolutely perfect for my Friday on a Monday for all those who get it. 😊

Happy National Pickle Day! It’s kind of a big dill! 😂 We wanted to bring back a classic pairing of what pickles go well with and instantly thought of a toasty grilled cheese. Hopefully they all meld together perfectly! Have you tried ‘Lit Pickle’ yet? You really should! 🥒

This spot is seriously awesome and the moment I found myself near Waterloo, I made the short 10-minute drive north to Elmira - a town famous for its maple syrup festival () and vibrant Mennonite community.

The second I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a server who offered to pour me something fresh from the taps. At the bar, a friendly group was chatting away, and as I looked around, I noticed rows of mugs hanging on the wall. That’s when I learned about their Mug Club - regulars have their own personal mugs waiting for them whenever they visit. How cool is that?

It’s one of those places that instantly feels welcoming, unique, and worth the trip. You’ve got to check it out! 💚 Oh, they have live bands too - we posted the schedule for you. ☺️
